There are thousands of establishments across Pakistan that go by the name of ‘Madarsas’ that literally work round the clock towards providing religious guidance to the masses and promote and publish the Prophetic Knowledge (ilm-e-Nabuwaat). They are all, in general, the fruits of the untiring efforts and spiritual inspiration of people like Molana Mohammad Qasim Nanotvi, Molana Rasheed Ahmed Gangohi and their fellows.
When the Britishers established themselves as the rulers, they meticulously planned for a system that would win over the minds of the population in general and the Muslims in particular. The target was to establish a system that would yield a class of people who would be Indians and Muslim by way of their families but the mindset of this class would be a complete subject to the West. This was explicitly documented by them very openly.
This was a great peril and a storm that was all set to destroy the Muslim identity in the sub-continent. To counter this, these amazing Muslim scholars did an equal and befitting long term planning and established the world famous ‘Darul uloom Deoband’ which produced literally an army of self-sacrificing scholars who was trained not to be affected by the main weapons of the West – the worldly gains, money, fame etc. This army of scholars would live and eat simply but would work without the fear of life to protect and promote each and every aspect of the religion and spiritual life of Muslims. Without any exaggeration, the entire Indian sub-continent got affected by the effort of the people produced by this institute.
These were the very people, who, under the leadership of Molana Mahmood ul Hasan, played their vital role in eventually ending the rule of Englishmen in India due to their untiring efforts and peerless sacrifices and efforts. Creating of Pakistan as a new state was made possible in part by the efforts of people like Shaikhul Islam Allama Shabbir Ahmad Usmani, Molana Zafar Ahmed Usmani and Mufti-e-Azam Pakistan Molana Mufti Shafi Ahmed Usmani who were provided thought leadership and guidance by Molana Ashraf Ali Thanvi which was, again, a product of Darul uloom Deoband.
